Description
After a few months since my last auctions I am back with a few more offerings, some rare and some not so rare. This auction if for an original Canadian stereo pressing of the first Pink Floyd LP, Piper At The Gates Of Dawn on the Capitol 6000 series. Not to be confused with the later issue which also has the black colorband labels (these later labels have a significantly larger amount of printing around the black perimeter and the jacket has the Capitol 6000 logo in a different location), it has a heavy cardboard jacket with a pasted on front slick and a heavier disc. The jacket grades an easy VG+, having almost no wear, splits, writing or stains. There is a very minor left lower corner bump, very light wear at the opening corners, and a tiny amount of opening side edge wear. The back of the jacket shows a hint of age discoloration at the opening and 2 small tears at the middle of the opening where a small separation has occurred between the outer paper layer and cardboard. The spine is perfectly centered and NM. The disc itself also grades an easy VG+, each side having a few light scuffs and light scratches (I do mean light!) but retains almost full gloss and very little wear. The labels each have a few spindle marks. I have played this LP from beginning to end and it plays great with very little distraction or objectionable noise. The sonics are outstanding! A very difficult LP to find in this condition and guaranteed to please! Shipping will be Canada Post airmail, actual cost will be determined at auctions end and will be dependent on buyer location. Please wait for invoice as advertised postage is incorrect. Insurance will be offered, I will not be responsible for any lost or damaged packages that are not insured.
