Description
Pink Floyd, Piper At The Gates Of Dawn, Orig UK Columbia/EMI LP EX/EX 2nd Press!
Description:
Pink Floyd, The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn,
Orig UK Columbia/EMI LP, EX/EX, 2nd Press!!
Original stereo issue one box EMI/Columbia label with the 'Sold in UK..' text on the rim, which were only pressed for a few months in 1969 before the two box labels were adopted (see the Pink Floyd Archives for details). The front laminated flipback Ernest J. Day Ltd cover is in EX condition, with two small areas of sticker damage on the rear cover and a couple of small laminate creases on the front cover. The spine is intact and the EMI company inner is intact & in EX condition.
The record is in visually EX condition with little evidence of being played, except for a couple of faint & wispy sleeve removal marks visible under bright light on each side. The labels are in EX condition, clean & bright with a small name in biro on one side and evidence of a couple of spindle markings. Overall the record still retains all its original sheen and looks great!!
The sound reproduction is EX, clear & vibrant throughout with no loud pops, crackle or hiss & definately no skips, sticks or jumps on either side, overall a really great listen! The matrix nos. are YAX-3419-1, mother stampers 1-GA, YAX-3420-1 mother stampers 1-GA. This is one of the very earliest 2nd pressings of the original 1967 UK stereo issue of this album. Happy bidding and Good Luck !!!
