Description
First pressing of the Floyd's classic psych LP on the blue/black Columbia label, cat. no. SX 6157. This would make a good entry level copy as this particular LP has a stick about 1 min. into "Take Up Thy Stethoscope and Walk." I have play tested the entire LP and there are no further sticks or jumps beyond this one (though it may play through on an older, heavier stylus). Also, though the sleeve is an original E.J. Day UK flipback, it is a stereo sleeve - exactly the same in appearance and construction as a mono UK sleeve, but of course with the word stereo. The sleeve grades an overall VG, with slight wear to the lower right corner and the remnants of someone's name on the rear sleeve (faded and not too noticeable). I'm going to grade the LP an overall G+ with a number of scuffs and scratches (and because of the stick in TUTSAW). Generally plays quite well with occasional noise and distortion. It sounds to me as if the original owner was fond of certain tracks (like "Interstellar Overdrive," where there is the occasional bit of distortion) and let others be ("Scarecrow," which is a quiet track, sounds quite good). There is some spindle wear to the hole on the labels as well. Shipping to be determined at auction's close based on winning bidder's location and shipping preference.
