Pink Floyd – Piper at the Gates of Dawn – MONO LP – Very Rare Early Pressing
Very rare early pressing of Piper at the Gates of Dawn by Pink Floyd from 1967 in mono. Released on 5th August 1967 one month before the stereo version was issued. There are a number of differences between the mono and stereo mixes.
The disc is labelled with the blue and black Columbia design, and includes the following matrix numbers which confirm it is the mono edition:
XAX-3419-2 on side one
XAX-3420-1 on side two
It is in excellent condition, with no visible surface scratches and is housed in the original EMI catalogue paper inner which is also in excellent condition.
IMPORTANT:
The album cover appears to relate to the stereo edition of the album – see text on photo – possibly due to the quick follow-up of the stereo copy, although I can confirm that the cover is the one that came with the record when it was originally purchased in 1967.
The album cover itself shows some minor storage wear and has a small crease is the top right corner, otherwise is in excellent condition.On 23-Feb-14 at 20:49:28 GMT, seller added the following information:
