Pink Floyd -Piper at the Gates of Dawn

Vinyl Record

First Mono Pressing -Sold in uk text.

Columbia Black/ Blue label.

SX 6157 - Mono.

Vinyl Condition

Side 1 - still retains its deep black glossy look. Sits flat - no warp.

The vinyl has some light hairlines under intense light. These are non feel able and do not affect play. There are NO deep scratches, scuffs and the vinyl presents as a very good looking and pleasing surface.


Side 2 - Retains deep glossy black shine.

A scuff mark that does not affect play is notable -across the record - in the photos this is at about 5 o clock as viewed. It is a light trial across all tracks and is not feelable and does not affect play. The rest of the surface is excellent and bar the scuff would grade as excellent.


Label Condition.

Labels on both sides appear in excellent condition - no writing or marks and extremely light spindle wear indicating the record hasn’t been played much at all.


Sleeve/ Cover Condition.

Grades as Good only. Complete but is tatty - see photographs.

I think the cover and record were not originally together as the record is in far better condition than the cover.

In conclusion

Vinyl side 1 - excellent condition

8/10


Vinyl side 2 - very good condition

6.5- 7.0/10.
