Description
Item:Original & complete 1st UK press of Pink Floyd - The Dark Side if the Moon LP from March, 1973. Solid blue 1st press labels. 1st press 'midnight blue' tint sleeve that seals on the front panel as per 1st press sleeves. This sleeve also has the round purple title sticker on the front which is the 1st version 68mm larger sticker before being reduced in size for later pressings. The set is complete with all inserts - both posters, both postcard stickers and the original black poly-lined inner sleeve. The two postcard stickers are 1st press 'Permanent' on back versions and the black die-cut inner has the patent numbers and 'MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN' printed on as-per 1st press sets. All parts are original.

Condition:Beautiful condition! The vinyl has zero marks or scratches visible in both good natural daylight and also when viewed under strong direct halogen spotlight - stunning! The labels show maybe 1 spindle mark on each side. The vinyl is glossy and clean with a deep-sheen throughout. This is a top condition disc. The playback also grades NEAR MINT! The all-important 'Heartbeat' intro plays nice and quietly, as do the other soft passages throughout the LP. This is a great player and it is rare to find a 1st press DSotM that is not only NM visually but also plays NM. There are no playback issues to report and there is no factory skip on track B1 'Money'. NEAR MINT! The 1st press 'midnight blue' tinted sleeve with large purple sticker grades EXCELLENT PLUS! with only light signs of handling/storage, very nice indeed! Both posters have no tears, folds, tape marks or pin holes NEAR MINT! Both postcard stickers are clean and unused NEAR MINT! The black poly-lined inner has no splits, the lining is fully intact and is uncreased, EXCELLENT PLUS! A superb condition, complete 1st UK press set.
