Rarely seen nowadays on the Black/Blue Columbia label
Haunting piece of PROG/PSYCH from the Golden Era!! AN AWESOME SOUNDING ALBUM ON ALL FREQUENCIES!! Even in between tracks hardly any background noise, unbelievably rare like this! Please note! Anyone who is familiar with my listings will know that I am highly critical about the audio quality, it is my main concern! THIS PLAYS TRULY AWESOME IN MY OPINION !!This audio plays near great on my high end system! Stunning separation and superb reproduction of all highs!!
I have played this twice in FULL> The replay is ASTOUNDING!!! There are not any jumps or skips. There is not much background noise at all!! Very remarkable for this vinyl!!! I played this on my Technics turntable with a Linn cartridge and through my very revealing B&W three way speakers!!!
Vinyl: EX- . Despite a few visible surface hairlines this vinyl plays through without any nasty problems. there are NO jumps or skips. NO sticks or clicks. There is at times some low level background noise, but on second spin this had disappeared for the greatest part. A very enjoyable vinyl with fantastic songcraft. This is my favourite Floyd LP where they showed they were in transition from the early Psych into something altogether more grandiose!!! I will give this a professional clean before sending out.
Sleeve: VG++. Stunning beautiful front laminated sleeve with flipbacks to the rear. A few underlaminate creases mainly near the opening and left top and bottom corners. Nice edges, mini corner "bumps". NO writing, NO smudges, NO doodling. The spine is fully legible.
This still retains its original EMI advert inner sleeve in EX condition.
Labels : NM Absolutely lovely labels with the distinctive Blue/Black Columbia labels.
This is a unique investment object that will only appreciate in value because of its absolute rarity. Although not in Mint condition I believe that this is a very respectable copy worthy of inclusion in any good Prog/Psych collection. Most copies of this now mighty scarce album have now been safely tucked away in major collection around the world!!
