Title: Saucerful Of Secrets.

Excellent audio just a bare whisper of almost inaudible very ocassional background noise, not quite mint audio but not far off (I've bought brand new vinyl that has had a worse signal to noise ratio). The all analogue sound has a warmth and detail that makes even the remastered CD sound lack lustre. Top that with a well preserved sleeve and you have a very desirable copy of the Floyd's 2nd album. 5th Pressing Black label with silver text and white lettering on the Columbia logo, two EMI logos one at 12:00 and one at 6:00 on label.

Sleeve

The Garrod & Lofthouse front laminated sleeve is in nr excellent condition with just a few minor stress creaese along the back spine edge and a small amount of barely noticible rubbing along the bottom edge preventing it from being excellent to near mint.

Front
Excellent/ Nr mint - superb gloss to the laminate and no noticable flaws

Back
No major flaws, just 5 micro stress crease along the spine edge and a few barely perceptable micro creases to the top and bottom edge.

Opening Edge:
Excellent -  no signs of wear.

Spine:
Nr Excellent a couple of very light stress creases

Edges:
Top: Excellent/Nr Mint
Bottom: Very good plus - there is 4 cms where the edge is rubbed toward the opening edge. In normal use this isn't noticable as you have to hold the sleeve edge on to see it.

Inner Sleeve:
I'm not sure if the generic patents pending sleeve is original. I will also include a very high quality MOFI rice paper anti-staic sleeve

Comments: An excellent sleeve that defies its vintage. Not quite excellent/nr mint, but not too far off.

Record:

The disc is not warped in any way. The disc still retains its original new sheen and looks barely played. There are no noticable scuffs, scratched or marks - not even the odd finger mark. The sound reflects the barely played look, offering a great detailed analogue experience with barely any of the noise or usual perceptable audio reminders that you are listening to vinyl. A copy I feel sure you will be pleased to own.

Visually: Nr mint
Audio: Excellent - one small "tick" between tracks
Side two:
Visually: Nr Mint
Audio: Excellent - a whiff of vinyl noise on the very quiet sections on my hi-end deck and studio monitors.
Labels
The labels have the text beginning "The Gramophone Co Ltd" around the edge and two boxed EMI logo's.

Side one: Nr mint, no sign that the record has ever been played
Side two: As above

Visually: the vinyl maintains its original sheen with and looks in unplayed near mint condiition.
Play testing: the record delivers pure analogue vinyl sound with no more backgrounf noise that I would expect to find on a new record.

How I pack:

I use top quality cruciform (pizza box style) mailers along with sheets of highest quality card stiffeners. The disc will be removed from the sleeve and if the inner sleeve is non-generic, I will put the LP in a new generic sleeve to avoid damaging the original. Box sets will be packed in boxes and protected with bubble wrap. I have comprehensive a comprehensive range of packing materials at my disposal, so rest assured, your order should arrive undamaged.

A bit about me:

It was 1960: I was eight. My cousin joined the Air Force and gave me his collection of 45’s: a great selection including Elvis and Buddy Holly. Usurping the family Dansette, I became well and truly hooked. By 1964/5 I was also seeing some of my favourite artist live. At the age of 11 I joined by first band playing music on and off over the subsequent years that also gave me experience of working in recording studios. Music is in my blood.
