THE WALL a 1st Issue on the UK Harvest label from 1979. Matrix A2/B3/A1/B2 TML-X/TML-M[Master lathe used]. The records come housed in the original gatefold cover. Please note there is no mention of the four band members in purple in the space directly above the picture of the child behind bars - this is indicative of 1st issues. All later copies have the four band members names in purple. Also included are both original inner sleeves with the notch at the top and rounded corners. So, this example is 100% complete and 100% original....And it plays like a dream.
Vinyl (EX+/NM) Truly outstanding. It's not often you find vintage vinyl in this kind of condition - it's shiny like new. And importantly it doesn't appear to have seen much use at all. Under close inspection I can't make out a single mark across all four sides. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. We didn't detect more than a couple of light static crackles in a couple of isolated places the entire way through. And it really is important to get a quiet copy of THE WALL - any interference just gets in the way of the low-key audio. Best to stick to copies that are practically faultless - like this one. I would say this is probably the best rendition I've ever heard period. Original copies of THE WALL really were mastered and pressed to perfection.. it's absolutely top-draw....
Cover (Ex) Remains in fantastic condition. The cover still retains much of it's original whiteness - there is just a touch of light ageing around the edges. The interior is immaculate without defect. The spine is intact and has not seen much wear at all. The openings are reasonably sharp suggesting once again this LP has not seen much use. Overall the over retains perfect rigidity. A really fantastic example.
Inners (Ex) Are in excellent unmarked condition. No splits. Please note the LP's will be housed in Exstatic inner sleeves.
Sticker (Ex+) Perfect condition.
