THE WALL a 1st Issue on the UK Harvest label from 1979. Matrix A2/B4-A4/B6. The records come housed in the original gatefold cover. Please note there is no mention of the four band members in purple in the space directly above the picture of the child behind bars - this is indicative of 1st issues. All later copies have the four band members names in purple. Also included are both original inner sleeves with the notch at the top and rounded corners. So, this example is 100% complete and 100% original....And it plays beautifully.
Vinyl (Ex) Shiny like new an his clearly only seen very light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks on each side - of little consequence and nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. We only detected some light static in the occasional track - nothing that even remotely stands out. It really is important to insist on a quiet copy of THE WALL - any interference just gets in the way of the low-key audio. Best to stick to copies that have seen minimal use - like this one. There is no doubt in my mind that this is the DEFINITIVE way to hear the THE WALL.
Cover (Ex) Remains in fantastic condition. Almost perfectly white and exhibiting only a few light smudges in the odd place. The interior is immaculate and without defect. The spine is intact and has not seen much wear. The openings are sharp suggesting once again this LP has not seen much use. Slight writing indentation on the rear - you have to look closely to even notice it. Overall the cover retains perfect rigidity. A really fantastic specimen.
Inners (Ex) Are in excellent unmarked condition. Very little ageing at all. Two 1 inch splits to bottom seam. That's all.
