Pink Floyd - The Dark Side of the Moon. A-2/B-2 - RARE 1st UK PRESS. COMPLETE.
Release Information: Original (first) stereo issue with a very dark blue cover and a solid light blue triangle (prism) on the label with "The Gramophone Co., Ltd." text on the edge of the label.
Matrix Information: SHVL 804 A-2 O 2 / SHVL 804B-2 OG 2.
Very early and RARE! Single letter (O) on the first side is really very rare! Look at the last picture - screen from pinkfloydarchives.com.This LP should be above the red line I pointed to (Top 10). Very hard to find!
Description: Gatefold cover.
Front Cover: Very dark blue cover (MIDNIGHT BLUE) with prism. [The difference between black and blue you can see on picture – comparison between gatefold cover and black inner (the 8 th picture)].
Back Cover: Inverted prism. In the upper right corner, it says: " SHVL 804,(IE 064-05249), stereo."
Inner Sleeve: Die-cut black polylined inner sleeve with patent numbers and"Made in Great Britain" in silver at the bottom. [Great condition –No splits].
Posters: Both two posters - a blue pyramid poster, and a poster of the band members in landscape style.
Stickers: Both brown and yellow graphics stickers with "FasPrintpermanent crack back patented" on the back.
Condition of Vinyl: Side A: VG+/ Side B: VG. Side B has a scratch on “Us and Them” (see 5th picture). On my turntable (SANYO - TP 6100) it does not skips, but has circular clicks, not very loud. The rest plays and sounds fine but with a little background.
