Description
This is a picture disc copy of Dark Side of the Moon that was released on Capitol records in 1978. The catalogue number is SEAX-11902.
As it states on the back of the die cut sleeve, the sound quality may not be as good as with a normal disc, and as a picture disc it is not really suitable for playing. When held up to a strong light, the disc itself has many marks on the playing surface. It comes in quite a thick plastic bag which I removed when I took the photo so that the disc could be seen more clearly.
The die cut sleeve is fairly worn, particularly along the top three inches of the spine, making the lettering illegible. There are numerous creases to the surface and two small pin holes in three of the cover's corners, presumably the legacy of having being pinned to a wall at some stage.
All in all, I would grade the disc and sleeve as VG minus using Record Collector grading criteria, but even so this would look great framed.
In order to keep shipping costs down I try to use good quality recycled mailers and stiffeners where possible. That way I only have to charge the actual cost of postage. I pack all items carefully and I always obtain a proof of posting receipt. I cannot be held responsible for any item that is lost or damaged in transit.
