Pink Floyd ha rilasciato un box set in occasione del 20° anniversario di 'The Division Bell' rilasciato nel 1994, l'album più venduto della band e che includeva la track "Marooned", il brano vincitore del Grammy Award Marooned.'The Division Bell' è stato l'ultimo album in studio ad essere rilasciato dalla band: David Gilmour, Nick Mason e Richard Wright. Questa edizione per il 20° anniversario dispone di un set di sei dischi, tra cui tre repliche di dischi  in vinile colorato, un disco Blu-ray , l'edizione in doppio vinile e per la prima volta un 5.1 mix audio di Andy Jackson di‘The Division Bell’. 

Pink Floyd  releasing a 20th anniversary box set of ‘The Division Bell’, the band’s 1994 album that included the Grammy Award winning track Marooned.  ‘The Division Bell’ was the last studio album to be released by the band: David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright. This 20th anniversary box set features six discs, including three replica coloured vinyl discs, 5 collectors’ prints, a Blu-ray disc and for the first time Andy Jackson’s 5.1 audio mix of ‘The Division Bell’.

I Pink Floyd sono stati una rock band inglese che ha raggiunto il successo in tutto il mondo con la loro musica rock progressiva e psichedelica. Il loro lavoro è caratterizzato dall'utilizzo di testi filosofici, esperimenti sonori, innovative copertine degli album ed elaborati spettacoli dal vivo. Sono stati anche uno dei gruppi rock di maggior successo commerciale e d'influenza sulla musica di tutti i tempi. Hanno venduto oltre 200 milioni di album in tutto il mondo, tra cui 74,5 milioni di unità certificati negli Stati Uniti. La band è stata inserita nella Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nel 1996 , e da allora hanno continuato a godere di una fama mondiale.

La band originariamente era costituita dagli allora studenti Roger Waters, Nick Mason, Richard Wright e Syd Barrett. Prima della sua fondazione avvenuta nel 1965, la band era diventata popolare suonando nella scena musicale underground di Londra alla fine del 1960. Sotto la guida di Barrett pubblicarono due singoli , "Arnold Layne" e "See Emily Play", e un album di debutto di successo, The Piper at the Gates of Dawn (1967). Il chitarrista e cantante David Gilmour si unì con i Pink Floyd , come quinto membro , nel Dicembre del 1967, diversi mesi prima della partenza di Barrett dal gruppo a causa del suo deterioramento della salute mentale. Dopo la perdita del loro principale compositore, il bassista Roger Waters diventò cantante , paroliere della band e leader concettuale. Venne assumendo anche Gilmour come chitarra solista , presente nella maggior parte delle composizione musicale della band anche come condivisione di voce solista. Con questa line-up i Pink Floyd raggiunsero il successo mondiale di critica e pubblico con i loro concept album ; The Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals e The Wall. Wright decise di lasciare il gruppo nel 1979, e Waters lo seguì nel 1985, Gilmour e Mason ( successivamente ricongiunti a Wright ) hanno continuato a registrare e ad eseguire tour. Waters ha ricorso a mezzi legali per cercare di impedire loro di esibirsi come Pink Floyd , ma la controversia è stata risolta con una soluzione out-of-court ( fuori dalla corte ) che ha permesso a Gilmour e Mason di continuare, e a Waters di liberarsi dai suoi obblighi contrattuali nei confronti della band. Seguirono due ulteriori album , “A Momentary Lapse of Reason” e “The Division Bell”. Dopo quasi due decenni di acrimonia la band decise di riunirsi nel 2005 per un'unica performance , al concerto di beneficenza Live 8. Wright è poi morto nel 2008. I sopravvissuti membri ,Waters, Gilmour e Mason si sono riuniti per eseguire lo shows “ Roger Waters' The Wall Tour “ eseguito il 12 Maggio del 2011 presso la O2 Arena in London ; Gilmour ha eseguito "Comfortably Numb", insieme a Waters e "Outside the Wall" con Mason e Waters.
