Description

Pink Floyd – The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn vinyl SX 6157. 1ST PRESSING MONO.
Side A: XAX 3419 -2 G 1 Side B: XAX 3420 -1 G 1
Vinyl condition is Very Good Plus (some light surface scratches that do not lead to any jumping of the needle or problems with playback) Remember, this is a rare 58 year old vinyl album!  I have played it through on my system, which is pretty revealing (Quad 99 with Luxman turntable and Rega RB700 tonearm/ AT cartridge) and, apart from some dust 'popping' during the silent passages, all the tracks sound clear and detailed.
Sleeve condition is Very Good Plus - inevitable slight wear on edges, some creasing on cover, no writing or stickers, rear of cover has a surface scuff mark and a slight blue water (?) mark. The attached photos are an integral part of the description of the item.
Back Cover: The top right part of the flip-back is blank. It does NOT read "File under POPULAR : Pop Groups" - therefore this is not a repress.
This is a very rare piece of pop history and the first mono pressing of this album are becoming harder to find and have increased in value significantly in recent years. The G1 reference on the vinyl indicates this is one of the first 500 pressings of this album.
