Description
Up for auction is an original 1967 first pressing of Pink Floyd's very first Lp record titled The Piper At The Gates of Dawn.Tower label # ST-5093.Stereo version of the Lp.This is on the Orange colored Tower label which makes it a first press. The 2nd press Lps were on a multi colored label. This is the Lp which started it all for Pink Floyd. Also the only one made under the leadership of Syd Barrett. This Lp was before David Gilmour joined the band which was after Syd Barrett went a bit crazy. The cover has no seam splits or spine splits.Has some wear on the corners Please see pictures.Has 1 very small 1/2 inch shelf rub wear type spot on spine. The very bottom part of cover may have gotten damp many years ago as it has rub wear on front and back cover on bottom spine Please see pictures I have taken. This runs along the very bottom of the seam. The rub wear looks to be about 1/4th of an inch high on front cover and a bit higher on back part of cover.I have taken a picture of these areas so you can see what I,m talking about.Small 3/4th inch shelf rub wear on bottom seam and back cover has a very skinny light yellow drip stain down from left top corner to left bottom corner near where record pulls out. This is very skinny as you can see in the pictures.Cover is still nice looking even with the bottom seam rub wear.I've taken several pictures of the Lp so you can see every part of it very clearly. The music on the Lp is fantastic if you like true Psychedelic music. This Lp is regarded as one of the most influential Psychedelic Rock Lps ever made.Side 1 of the record has light scratches with 2 small scratches I can feel with fingernail.Has 3 scuff marls also which none can be felt with fingernail.Side 2 has very light to light scratches.Has 3 scuffs also.None of the scratches or scuffs can be felt with fingernail. Both labels have some wear near hole but looks just to be the paper part of labels. Both sides also look to have very light and light groove wear but still has nice shine. If the buyer is not 100% satisfied I have a return for refund on all records I sell. Please E Mail for Foreign shipping prices.
