Here we have a superb and super rare 1st pressing of the classic Floyd Rock Opera.

This really is a rarity to see, and in such lovely condition!!!

There are many presses of this classic record but here are a few criteria that signify only a first press-

·         The Sleeve has a transparent sticker with Gerald Scarf black text on

·         The bricks are not perfectly aligned on the outer sleeve, and also have a blue tint to their borders

·         Inner sleeves also feature the brick design, and also have the individual catalogue numbers on each

·         The cover is made from a single sheet of wrap-around cardboard with the seam across the inner top edge of the cover. The bricks on the front cover are not aligned right to the bottom of the cover. (only 1st press)

·         TMLS is machine printed into each discs dead wax

The outer sleeve is in really great condition throughout, with no rips or tears.  It lies perfectly flat as it should.  There is really minor shelf wear to the corners and that’s about it really.  There are no stains and the inside is almost pristine!!  The spine is perfectly straight without any wear at all.  The 1st press transparent sticker is in perfect condition.  Superb!!  Excellent+

Inner Sleeve

Both the1st press hard card inner sleeves with full lyrics on are in pristine condition throughout!!  No rips, stains, writing or any fault to mention Nr mint

Labels

The odd really minor spindle marks that can be seen under a strong light, but no writing, rips or stains!  Excellent

Vinyl Visual

Really Nice!! 1 or 2 really minor hairlines can be seen under a strong light, and nothing that plays at all, it’s clear to see that this record has not been overplayed at all.  It still retains its wonderful factory shine and lustre!!  Excellent

Vinyl Audio

I listened to the record through, and it sounds great.  There are no skips or jumps to talk about.  It’s a really good pressing, the dynamics been nice and clear, with no distortion over even the heaviest parts. It’s a really clear and crystal sound, just as precise as you want it to be.  This really is a splendid copy that won’t disappoint!!    Excellent +
