Description

Pink Floyd The Wall 1st Press UK lp Matrices: SHSP 4111 A2U/B2U SHSP 4112 A1U/B2U This is a very rare copy of this classic lp. Not only does it have the lowest matrix numbers I have ever seen, there is a mispressing: the labels on sides one and two are switched so side one plays the music on side 2 and vice versa. The records are in very good condition. They are both flat, clean and shiny. There are, however, a number of noticeable wispy marks made by removing the lps from their inner sleeves. Play graded on a Project Debut, there is a light background crackle and the occasional light click. These are not overly intrusive but can be heard during the quietest tracks. There are no loud pops and no sticks or jumps. The labels are in excellent condition with a few spindle marks but no other major flaws. The cover is in excellent condition. It has barely any edge wear and only the lightest of rubbing to the corners. There are a couple of brown spots on one of the inner sleeves, other than that they are perfect. The card is the correct cream colour card indicating a 1st press and there is no mention of Nick Mason or Rick Wright again indicating a very early pressing. Sadly there is no sticker.# This is not a perfect copy of this lp but the very low matrix numbers and the mislabelling do I think make it rather collectable. Low start and free UK P&P
