Gradings: I grade my records and sleeves using the Record Collectors Grading System but please mouse over the images in the uploaded photos as they offer a valuable close-up visual assist in establishing the accuracy of the item description.

I am a collector of used ‘60’s and ‘70’s vinyl, which I purchase from a variety of sources. Very rarely do I purchase a record that sits perfectly flat on the platter and there is almost always a degree of movement on the tone arm when the record is being played. Therefore, please bear in mind when considering placing a bid on any of my records that due to their age, some degree of warping is almost inevitable. However, please be assured that I will never list a record for sale where the edge warping is so excessive as to affect the normal playing of the record.

Vinyl: (Aural): Excellent. Both records played extremely well with minimal interference.

Vinyl: (Visual): Very Good. Both records have one or two hairlines and surface marks, but nothing serious and nothing that affects the play quality and both discs retain a lovely sheen. Obviously the grading is subjective and due to the age of the records, this could possibly be given as ‘excellent’ but I’d rather be guilty of understating than overstating…

Labels: Excellent. All four labels are in very clean condition with minimal signs of use. Labels 3 and 4 are particularly impressive and look almost new.

Sleeve: Very Good Plus. This would have been ‘excellent’ but for one very small section of wear along the top edge of the rear gatefold. That aside, the sleeve is completely intact with very little wear to the corners and the spine is strong and square. The inner gatefold is very clean.

Inner sleeves: Excellent. Both of the cardboard lyric inners are completely intact, with only normal signs of use.

Records will be dispatched, well packed in custom mailers, within three working days of receiving payment.

Due to being stung by non-delivery claims in the past I now ship all LPs via Royal Mail 2nd class signed for as standard, although I will ship up to four LPs for the same cost as one. If purchasing more than one record, please contact me for a revised invoice before making payment.

Collection in person always welcome for local bidders, in which case payment will be by cash on collection.

Customer satisfaction is important to me so please don’t hesitate to get in touch if there are any problems with your order. I will try to resolve them for you as soon as possible.

RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM:

Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.

Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening of sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

Good: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration etc.

Fair: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise: it may even jump. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
