Description
PLEASE REVIEW ALL PHOTOS AND READ THE ENTIRE ITEM DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY AS THERE IS A LOT TO DESCRIBE!
THIS IS A SUPER RARE GOLD STAMPED PROMO COPY AND IT INCLUDES THE CRAZY RARE 4" x 7" HYPE INSERT / TITLE INSERT.
This is a pretty nice copy! The cover, Hype Insert, LPs & inner sleeves are in Very Good Condition!
PLEASE NOTE: THERE ARE SURFACE MARKS THROUGHOUT THAT ARE UNFEELABLE AND DO NOT ADVERSELY EFFECT PLAY, BUT YOU WILL HEAR SURFACE NOISE TYPICAL WITH A VERY GOOD GRADING. THEY LOOK WORSE THAN THEY SOUND.(see photos)
MOST NOTABLY AT THE BEGINING OF SIDE 3 THERE IS A SURFACE MARK THAT SPANS THE FIRST 3 TRACKS THAT IS UNFEELABLE AND DOES NOT ADVERSELY AFFECT PLAY. IT LOOKS WORSE THAN IT SOUNDS.
THE COVER HAS SOME DINGS and MINOR STAINING OF AN UNKNOWN ORIGIN. THERE IS A DING JUST NEXT TO THE GOLD STAMP ON THE REAR COVER.
THE INNER SLEEVES HAVE SOME SPLITS.
THE HYPE INSERT HAS A FEW SMALL TEARS / FRAYING ON THE EDGES and A FEW NOTICEABLE CREASES AS IF IT WAS STUCK IN THE FOLD OF THE GATEFOLD.
IF ANY OF THESE ISSUES ARE A CONCERN FOR YOU, PLEASE DO NOT BUY IT.
PLAY TESTED! I recently played this LP and it SOUNDS AWESOME!
Up for sale is one (1) Pink Floyd - The Wall GOLD STAMP PROMO double LP from 1979 on Columbia Records (#PC2 36183). NO BARCODE.
The rear cover has a gold promo stamp "FOR PROMOTION ONLY". Rarely seen GOLD STAMPED PROMO LP.
The Vinyl is in Very Good condition, but has some surface marks that may cause surface noise typical with a Very Good grading. Even with a Very Good grading there is going to be a certain amount of surface noise. Certainly more noticeable during the quiet parts.
As is typical with Pink Floyd LP's there is going to be some surface noise along the way, especially during the quiet parts.
Nice, clean labels with some spindle marks.
The Hype Insert / Title Insert is in Very Good condition with typical wear from age, including, but not limited to corner dings, creases, crumples, small tears / fraying, etc...
The gatefold cover is in Very Good condition with typical wear from age, including, but not limited to corner dings, creases, scrapes, and ring wear. There are NO split seams. However, there is some staining of an unknown origin and a few dings throughout.
This cover typically doesn't age well, but this one is in Very Good shape.
The custom inner lyric sleeves are in Very Good condition with typical wear from age, including, but not limited to corner dings, crumples, creases, small tears, fraying, and ring wear.
THE INNER SLEEVES HAVE SPLIT SEAMS AS FOLLOWS:
RECORD 1 SLEEVE HAS A VERY SMALL SIZED SPLIT SEAM ON 1 SIDE.
RECORD 2 SLEEVE HAS A VERY SMALL SIZED SPLIT SEAM ON 1 SIDE and LARGE SIZED SPLIT SEAM ON THE BOTTOM.
The LPs are now in plain white inner sleeves.
I am thinning out my vinyl collection. This is the actual item you will receive. See the photos and judge for yourself.
