Original Columbia Records 2LP promo issue factory sealed copy of Pink Floyd's 11th studio album released on November 20, 1979. Never before we came across a promotional cover of this album containing the Columbia Records “DEMONSTRATION Not For Sale” gold embossed stamp as oppose to the standard "FOR PROMOTION ONLY. Ownership Reserved By CBS. Sale is Unlawful." stamp. The “DEMONSTRATION Not For Sale” stamp can be found on the promotional covers of Pink Floyd’s albums preceding “The Wall”, including “Wish You Were Here" and “Animals”. Possibly, it could be assumed that this copy is the true 1st promotional issue which uses the Columbia Records’ earlier gold embossed stamp in the upper left-hand corner of the back cover. The front cover contains an original promotional rectangular “PINK FLOYD THE WALL 36183” clear with the black text and catalog number hype sticker affixed at the center top and original “COLUMBIA RECORDS DEMONSTRATION NOT FOR SALE” suggested cuts timing strip sticker with the catalog PC2-36183 number affixed at the bottom center, with both stickers located underneath the shrink wrap. Inside the cover you'll find the custom "The Wall" thin paper inner sleeves with the lyrics on both sides. The listing comes with a promo bonus in the form of an original extremely rare 103-page "The Wall" songbook printed by Scotprint Ltd, Musselburgh, Scotland containing the photos of the band during "The Wall" tour, color illustrations by Gerard Scarfe, credits as well as notes and lyrics to all of the songs from the album. The album is in beautiful Mint condition. The shrink wrap contains the original breathe holes, one on each side of the album, and is fully intact without having any splits, tears or missing pieces. The original songbook is in great vintage condition.
