This is chance to own what appears to be a very rare UK copy of Pink Floyd's 1979 iconic album 'The Wall'.
I personally purchased this record from new shortly after it's release, and it is part of my personal collection. It has been lovingly looked after, played carefully, and still retains its original super dynamic sound. There is some very slight background noise with the odd pop that one would expect from a 38 year old vinyl, but nothing to worry about, and will probably improve with a professional clean.
The vinyl sits flat, has no scratches or surface marks, no spindle wear, and is all very clean. Grade Near Mint
The cover has been preserved beautifully due to the fact that it has been carefully handled and kept in a plastic sleeve from day one. The records were removed and placed in poly-lined sleeves to avoid scuff marks and damage caused from removing them from the original cardboard inners. They were also kept outside the the gatefold cover to avoid ring wear.
Many identifiers point towards a first pressing, but with unusual matrix numbers (see below) - The gatefold cover is cream colored, not true white, with the bricks on the front not being aligned right to the bottom of the cover, on the outside or the inside.
Band members are not listed on the inside cover. It only says "Words and Music - Roger Waters. Except..." and "Produced By David Gilmour, Bob Ezrin, Roger Waters". (As shown in pictures). Re-pressings added band member credits and had other minor alterations.

Unfortunately there is no sticker on the front cover, but the Gatefold cover and inner sleeves are in Excellent + condition.
I have done as much investigation as I can with regard to this copy and have presented what I believe is a fair assessment of what we are looking at here.
