Pink Floyd Wish You Were Here 1st press SHRINKWRAP psych PLAY GRADED NM Clean

$

30

This is the first US pressing of Floyd's 'Wish You Were Here' on the Columbia label. The jacket still has the original blue shrinkwrap intact but most importantly this plays like a gem! Plays with almost no surface noise!  I would not buy one that the seller has not listened to.  A keeper copy here!

  Specifics:   Columbia  PC 33453

Matrix:Side 1 AL 33453-2A(2A by hand next to 1A which is scratched out)    Side 2  BL 33453-3A(3A by hand next to 1A which is scratched out)

Visual:  Graded as near mint.  Full glossy shine which is almost mark free(a few minor scuffs) and very CLEAN!

Play:  Recently played on my Thorens TD 165 turntable with a middle of the line Shure cartridge tracked at .8 grams. Other set ups may produce different results. It played like new and quietly with almost no surface noise start to finish.  Just heard some faint surface noise in a few of the quieter moments but not excessive or long lasting. If you are looking for a first pressing that sounds great this is it.

Jacket:  Sleeve in shrinkwrap in very good plus shape. Some pulling away from the jacket opening and corners, edges has naturally occured over the years. Rear has some spotting(see pic). There is a cut out area on the front where some idiot decided to remove the price tag!  Brainless move. All in all, considering the shrinkwrap has been on the jacket for 38 years it is quite acceptable.  LP housed is plastic resealable outer sleeve to avoid wear.

Inner Sleeve:    Inner jacket with lyrics is in excellent condition.  LP  housed in an anti-static sleeve for better protection.

Finally:  As an audiophile I have attempted to disclose everything of significance for this great LP which comes from my personal collection.
