Description
A 1st issue of 'Wish You Were Here' on the UK Harvest label from 1975. Matrix A1/B3. Stampers 2-GLG/2-GMP. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original cover with pinched spine. The shaped inner sleeve is original and present. The 1st issue serrated edge postcard is also present as is the handshake sticker. So it is not only 100% genuine , but 100% complete too.
Vinyl (Ex+) Absolutely stunning!... this record has only seen the very lightest of use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks either side- nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with superb clarity. Interference is very very minor nigh on non-existent. I can't recall the last time I ever played a copy and heard silence throughout track 1 - that really is very unusual. We couldn't detect more than a couple of crackles in the occasional isolated moment. The audio, as you can imagine, is top-draw and coming from an early copy this is no major surprise. A truly top-level example of a genuine 1st press and you will most definitely struggle bettering this copy.
Cover (Ex-) In very nice shape and does not to appear to have been that affected by the ageing process. There's a touch of the faintest handling wear and one or two tiny marks, but little else. Edge wear is very light and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity and remains a really terrific original example.
Inner (Ex) Just the lightest handling wear. No rips or seam splits.
Postcard (Ex+) Faultless.
