Original Columbia Records 1st US issue of Pink Floyd’s 9th studio album “Wish You Were Here” released in September, 1975. 1st print cover with a 1st issue dark blue shrink wrap. Issued with a large round sticker on the shrink wrap that features a mechanical handshake, the four elements, and the words "Pink Floyd Wish You Were Here." The text along the edge of the sticker reads "Shine On You Crazy Diamond - Welcome to the Machine - Have a Cigar - Wish You Were Here, PC 33453, P © 1975 Pink Floyd Music Limited, Manufactured by Columbia Records, CBS Inc. 51 West 52nd Street, N.Y., N.Y., ® Columbia, Marcas Reg." Original 1st issue containing a heavy cardboard inner sleeve with a picture of a red veil blowing in the wind on one side, and the credits and lyrics on the other side. Fully complete set with an original jagged edge postcard insert with a picture of a diving man on the front and the ”WISH YOU WERE HERE” text on the back. Original “Printed in U.S.A.” black and blue Columbia Records labels with a mechanical hand shake and the catalog number PC 33453. 1st Columbia Records Santa Maria plant pressing denoted by the “S” identifier in the runout groove on both sides. I grade the cover as Near Mint Minus. The shrink wrap is fully intact and has been well preserved only having some light age shelf wear and scuffing which has led to it thinning in some places and becoming clear to reveal the white album underneath it. The original cardboard inner sleeve is in Near Mint Minus condition and doesn't have any splits or tears. Just like the cover and the inner sleeve, the very rare postcard is in Near Mint Minus condition. The glossy vinyl appears to have been played just a couple of times and is in Near Mint Minus condition. It has only a couple of tiny non-feelable surface scuffs from the inner sleeve which are barely noticeable. The labels are totally scuff-, wear- and spindle mark-free and are very clean. The vinyl sounds amazing with only some very light occasional static that most likely could get reduced or go away completely if it's cleaned using a VPI cleaning machine.
