Here for sale is Pink Floyd’s first lp, The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn Mono, UK, 1967, cat. no. SX 6157
*Please note that this is for the record and original inner sleeve only* This is the first UK press on the black and blue Columbia labels. Matrix no’s are XAX 3419-2; 3420-1 KT tax code inscribed on side 1 label. Mothers and stampers are 1 G; 1 P so this is a very early issue. Vinyl has some marks and lines, not too bad. However, please read the following: Please note the last track on side 1 (Take Up Thy Stethoscope And Walk) is pretty much unplayable due to an unfortunate deep scratch. I play-tested the whole record and it plays very well with some light crackle (not too bad at all though) and hardly any clicks that I could hear anyway. However, the needle just jumped to the middle and then end when I tried it on the last track though due to that bad scratch. However, if you don’t mind one of the tracks being unplayable, then this is a nice piece of collectable musical history to own. The original EMI advertising inner sleeve is included, which has some age staining and general wear. Please see all photos also as a guide. Record will be posted in a strong record mailer with stiffeners for protection and I will enclose the record and inner sleeve in a plastic cover. Any questions, please ask. Thanks
