Description
Original 1968 mono copy of saucerful of secrets. Columbia SX 6258.Dead wax Stampers xax3633-1 xax 3634-1. This is a prized possession in my record collection.
This is one of the most sought after of the Floyds albums, due to the limited number that were released in mono, and as such can command prices well over £230.00 GBP in mint condition.
This copy does carry some surface marks, and a little surface noise in the quieter passages, however the musical integrity remains intact, with no clicks and heavy popping. The music remains punchy and there is amost no deteriation in the overall tonal sound.Sid Barratts voice is clear. I would grade this disc as very good, using rare record collector gradeing
The sleeve is in superb order . Spine is in great order no scuffs or storage marks,[ please see photos for a visual appraisal of the disc and sleeve.] No defacements or tears. The sleeve is a flip back clarfoil manufactured by Garrod and lofthouse, sleeve design by Hipgnosis i would grade this as very very good.
Good luck with your bids, but be advised i am not giving this rare piece of Floyd away at a silly price. Post and packing may be free to anywhere in the world depending on winning bid.
Thanks and good luck
