Record: Gorgeous! Looks & plays Mint- / VPI cleaned / By the spindle hole it looks like this LP may have never been played.
COMMENTS: Absolutely beautiful original copy of this very rare (and out of print) LP which was the recording debut of Ben Chasny (Comets On Fire, Six Organs Of Admittance). It's on the small indie New World of Sound/On Holy Mountain label. It's a paste over cover slick on black jacket.
Plague Lounge featured guitarist Ben Chasny, who later went on to form Six Organs of Admittance & Comets On Fire. Plague Lounge, however, was a sludgy noise rock trio that also featured Brian Fulmer & Brandon Taylor. The Wicker Image was their only album. Mostly instrumental, The Wicker Image sounds like a hybrid of Blue Cheer, Japan’s Fushitsusha and the Dead C. Heavy, pummeling riffs disintegrate into washes of noise and feedback.
