I Play-Grade the records that I propose and use the Goldmine method for jacket’s grading.
Scale for Play-Grade is Very Good (VG) and Good (G), with the adjunction of a plus (+) or a minus (-) sign for more accurate evaluations. So a VG grading literally means a very good playing and listening condition, and so on…
Records were bought mainly in the 70’s and early 80’s and put into a new inner sleeve upon receipt. All relevant original material was kept in the cover’s sleeve. Records were always played on the same turntable, with an AKG P7E or REGA Bias II cartridge.
Record : G+ (Some sparse, faint and punctual crackling in the «thunderstorm» effect and soft parts on side one, with stronger crackling on «Man part two» and some «pops» crackling or sizzle all along side two)
Jacket: VG (Breakage of about 2cm (3/4inch) at the middle of bottom (left)seam)
Forewarning to interested bidders from outside Canada:
Winners outside Canada must be aware that Canada Post can be significantly more expensive than USPS or others. I will ship “Expedited Parcel” for winners in Continental North America and “XpressPost” for others.
Those are the cheapest Canada Post services with tracking possibility, for now.
Rates for 1-4LPs (3LPs maximum if gatefold jacket) are about 21-24$ for USA, 70-75$ for Western-Northern Europe, 74-80$ for Japan, South-Corea and Hong-Kong, 76-82$ for New-Zealand and Australia, 77-84$ for South America and The Middle-East and 85-92$ for Eastern Europe.
You must also consider delays for Customs Clearance in your Country: I use the automated PayPal-Canada Post tool which is practically filling all the documentation needed for smooth Customs process in your country and I will not under-value or mark the records as a gift on customs forms.
Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility.
Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding.
Customs fees are normally charged by the Postal service and collected on delivery or when you pick the parcel up. These fees are not additional shipping charges.
