Plastikman (aka Richie Hawtin) releases a new album on Mute after over ten years! The album was recorded live at the Guggenheim Museum in New York. There he played - in the light of a specially developed LED obelisk - at the invitation of the Belgian fashion designer and Dior Art Director Raf Simons as part of the annual Guggenheim fundraising. Between 1993 and 2003 Plastikman created an amazing oeuvre that still sounds unique to this day. Over six albums (Sheet One, Music, Recycled Plastic, Consumed, Artifakts (BC) and Closer) were no less than a radical expansion of (Detroit) techno and a reinvention of electronic dance music. And in 2014 it still sounds "fast forward" and absolutely timeless!
