Please read in conjunction with the photos and also bear in mind that it's 61 years old. To be on the safe side I've graded both the sleeve and record as fair.
The outer sleeve front has several surface creases including a longer one in the bottom left. There is some discolouration particularly across the white top
The back has some surface creasing and is also discoloured. Some instrument lettering is missing.
Half of the top is split as is the whole of the bottom. Half of the bottom fold has nearly broken away from the sleeve. There is evidence of sticky tape discolouration along both the top and bottom folds. I did debate carrying out some repairs prior to listing but decided against doing so.
The "Emitex" inner sleeve is complete with no splits. There is a small amount of discolouration on one side and it, understandably, has a used look.
The record has some light surface staining and light scratch marks on side one. There is heavier surface staining on side 2 with a number of scratches, including one long mark. The labels on both sides are complete with some discolouration and light marks particularly around the centre.
Both sides play with no skips or jumps. There are, however, crackles, pops and surface noise throughout, particularly noticeable between tracks. There's heavier background noise on Love Me Do and a slight scratch sound in part of Please, Please Me.
None of the above detracted from my listening enjoyment but it wouldn't suit anyone requiring unblemished quality sound.
