Description
In 1988, when the glam rockers Poison released their latest opus "Open Up and Say...Ahh!", their record label saw the cover and said 'no way'! Now this seems pretty tame by today's standards, but remember this was back in the 80s, and the PMRC had everyone a bit nervous. So the band relented, and did a new cover, showing just the female demon's eyes, with black on the top and the bottom. But here it is, in all its uncensored glory, on a picture disc!
This was a major turning point for Poison. They had great success with their debut album "Look What the Cat Dragged In", but they became one of the biggest hair/glam metal bands with this one. "Open Up" contains their biggest hit to date, "Every Rose Has Its Thorn", and the chart busters "Nothin But a Good Time", "Fallen Angel", and "Your Mama Don't Dance." (The latter being their cover of an old Loggins and Messina hit). And Poison is still around, and just finished a huge tour with def Leppard and Cheap Trick in '09.
This picture disc comes in its original plastic sleeve, and backing card. One side of the backing card has photos of the band, and the reverse has the song titles, the song lyrics (so you can sing along, singing the RIGHT words! haha), and the credits. Made in the UK, as a special limited edition picture disc. It is in very good condition, with only very light and minor surface marks. Nothing bad or too noticeable. No scratches, scuffs, or gouges. Not bad for something this old!
