ARTIST: PORNO FOR PYROS ALBUM: "Porno For Pyros" YEAR: 1993 LABEL: Warner Bros. MASTERED: Chris Belman at Bernie Grundman Mastering MANUFACTURED: Warner Music Manufacturing, Alsdorf, Germany Here's the first album from Perry Farrell's post-Janes Addiction project Porno For Pyros. Although most of the Jane's Addiction stuff has remained in print the Porno For Pyros albums haven't which makes this one a bit scarce and that's a pity because it has one of Farrell's best pop moments in the MTV golden era classic 'Pets'. Can't lie, this isn't the greatest copy ever visually (initial visual grading might fall under new category "EUGH!") however I'm not a dealer and I do play my albums so I can confirm that this is actually cleaned up well and really does play back alright (without skipping) on my Pro-jekt III deck with OM10 albeit with some snap, crackle and pop. Basically, if you want an immaculate copy to put on a shelf and whip out occasionally to show your pristine 31 year old relic to your admiring collector friends, this ain't it and you should look elsewhere (and you will find those copies mortifyingly expensive). If you want to simply fill a gap in your 90's collection or simply want to get in from the pub on a Friday with a takeaway and drop a stylus on the afformentioned Pets (or Cursed Female... or Sadness... actually this is a much stronger album than I remember!) and do the Beavis dance around your living room without having to take a bank loan for the privilege then this is the copy for you. Please review the images and the descriptions and bid understanding this is not perfect and is sold as I have advised. VINYL CONDITION: G - Visually this looks rough (see images) with some clearly visible, large scratches as per the images. There is a large white mark to each side and a scratch. Hairlines aplenty but nothing deep, just unpleasant looking. I have highlighted these in the images. .That said, the album has been well cleaned and plays through on my Pro-jekt III deck without issue (although obviously there's some snap, crackle and pop). SLEEVE CONDITION: VG - Sleeve is in very good condition. some creasing visible, ringwear and a little shelf/edgewear but looks good and no splits. INNER CONDITION : VG - As pictured. Some inevitable creasing in line with age as per images but no splits.
