Released in 2008 after an eleven-year hiatus, Third marked a radical shift for Portishead. Abandoning the trip-hop tag entirely, the album explores krautrock, psych-folk, and industrial electronics. The track "Silence" features a Portuguese intro concerning the Wiccan "Rule of Three," setting the tone for one of the most critically acclaimed "comeback" albums in experimental music history.
Condition Details:
Vinyl is graded VG+. The records are clean with high factory gloss and minimal signs of handling. The gatefold jacket is in EX condition, still preserved in the original shrink-wrap with the purple "Limited Edition" hype sticker. Shrink remains intact, keeping the jacket edges and corners crisp.
The Media: VG+ — Clean, glossy set. Very well-preserved vinyl.
The Jacket/Case: EX — Excellent condition gatefold in original shrink; very crisp.
The records have been moved to premium Hudson Hi-Fi anti-static poly-lined sleeves. This ensures archival protection and prevents the "paper rashing" or static common with factory sleeves.
