Pre-1900 7" Berliner Gramophone "STARS & STRIPES" March Orchestra 1491 - NO RESERVE
1898 7" Berliner Gramophone record titled "STARS & STRIPES (Sousa)", a "March" simply listed a being by "Orchestra) Record is catalog numbered 1491. The record has no clearly listed recording date although, at the bottom of the handwritten label under "1491" can be seen the number "1098".
Record is in good condition for its age. No chips or cracks that I could see. Has a number of light scratches. Some normal dimple pressing imperfections including one noticable one at the top that does extend into the beginning of the playing surface. Also has a second spindle hole drilled into the record for, I would guess, use with a player that had two spindles.
I attempt to take as representative of a picture of the record as I can. However, collector's familiar with these old black records with no paper label know the difficulties in taking a clear picture of the pressed title and record grooves.
This week we will be listing six pre-1900 Berliner records of varying years. Please check our other auctions for those records. All are being offered with no reserve and I will gladly combine shipping for multiple purchases.

Returns will be accepted, within three days of item receipt, if buyer is not satisfied with the quality of the item purchased. Prior authorization must be obtained before any return. It is to be sent back with a tracking number. All items will be inspected upon return to verify it is the same item as shipped. Shipping and handling charges are not refundable. Feedback will be left after we know buyer has received and is satisfied with item.
