Low start!.....NO Reserve!.....NO high priced ‘Buy It Now’.
Probaply the rarest of Lena’s LPs….but what makes this one even rarer is a five page Press Pack in a folder from the Dorothy Solomon Agency dated February 1977 together with two black & white 10” x 8” photos. All in mint condition.
Interestingly, the cover reads “Presenting Lena Zavaroni” but the record reads “Introducing Lena Zavaroni”.
If you don’t know:
LENA ZAVARONI rocketed to fame in 1974 with her recording of "Ma, He's Making Eyes At Me". She was introduced to the British public on television's "Opportunity Knocks" at the end of 1973 and for five weeks running topped the charts, and became the youngest-ever artiste to appear on BBC Television's "Top Of The Pops” and the youngest-ever performer to appear on a Royal Variety Show, starring in two sell-out concerts at the world-famous London Palladium where later she topped the bill for a whole week at the tender age of 14! In the USA Lena turned in a stunning performance at a Hollywood Charity Gala starring Frank Sinatra and Lucille Ball. When Lena was thirteen anorexia nervosa was diagnosed, and her weight dropped to 4 stone. She sadly passed away in 1999 aged 35. …These recordings are a lasting memento to her unique talent.
This album is probably the rarest of her recordings. (None others on eBay when listed)…..The record is in excellent condition. The sleeve has a little wear to the edges.
