Description

"Presenting the Fabulous Ronettes Featuring Veronica" is the debut album of American girl group the Ronettes, released in 1964. Comprising numerous singles produced by Phil Spector since the previous year, it peaked at #96 on the Top Pop Albums chart. Issued singles included, "Be My Baby" (US #2), "Walking in the Rain" (US #23), "Baby, I Love You" (US #24), "Do I Love You?" (US #34), and "(The Best Part of) Breakin' Up" (US #39). The songs " Be My Baby" and "Walking in the Rain" are ranked #22 and #269, respectively, on Rolling Stone's list of "The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time". The album ranked #427 also on their list of "The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time". Recording engineer Larry Levine was nominated for a Grammy Award for the rainstorm special effect in "Walking in the Rain". Original vinyl copies of the album are rare and change hands for hundreds of dollars. This is the ORIGINAL 1964 US VINYL PRESSING on the Phillies Record label. The catalog # on the spine is: PHLP 4006. The vinyl is visually graded by Goldmine standards as EX+/EX++. It looks as if it was rarely played. There is a name written on side one label. Side 2 has some "scribbling" on upper right corner. The cover is graded as VG. Bottom center of cover has 6" split in the center where it has been sitting all these years. Two pieces of tape are on the opposite sides of the split. The center spline has a 6" split. There is a name written in pen on the front, upper right cover. Please see pictures. The name also appears on the back cover under the Ronettes lettering. Record has been stored in a heavy duty anvil case since 2004. Never even seen light the last 11 years.
