Description
Prestige Bluesville 1083, “Studio Blues” with Big Joe Williams, vocals and various guitars; Willie Dixon, bass; Larry Johnson, harmonica; from 1963. Original-label vinyl has a couple of light scuffs but plays at NM with virtually no background sound. The vinyl is fairly heavy but does not have a DG. The jacket is in the original shrink wrap and looks almost like new except for light corner wear on three corners and slight wear (1 inch, 2 cm) on the lower right seam. Seams are solid all around; any ringwear appears to be on the shrink. There are no bends, writing, or stamps. Songs are “Levee Camp Blues”, “Low Down Dirty Shame”, “Gambling Man”, “Ain’t Gonna Rain No More”, “Feel So Good”, “Prowling Ground Hog”, “Sugar Babe”, “Tell Me Mama”, and “Studio Blues”. This is the remainder of a set of Bluesville LPs from several collections brought together for sale this week on eBay. Most are original DG copies in remarkable condition, and many are in the original shrink wrap. Shipping is $4.00 media mail, $8.00 priority mail within the continental U.S.; $18.00 regular airmail to the U.K., Europe, Japan, Korea, Australia, and New Zealand. Additional LPs in a single package are $1.00 additional within U.S. and Canada, $2.00 elsewhere. For overseas shipments, registered mail is strongly recommended at $11.75 extra. Many old records are practically antiques and should be treated that way. This LP will be packaged with the record inside an inner sleeve but outside the jacket; both are placed inside a sealed outer sleeve and shipped inside a special oversized handcrafted mailer with padding on all sides. It is designed thick enough not to be bent in transit and strong enough to withstand a drop from a second-story window. More than two LPs together may be mailed inside a heavy Bags Unlimited pizza-style box. Your LP should arrive in the same condition as on the day it was shipped. All used LPs are play-graded on a VPI turntable with Audioquest tonearm and Grado cartridge.
