Description
The Pretenders 1979-1999 Collectors Box Set on Vinyl. Rare find. 9 LP boxset of 8 albums released between 1979 to 1999 all on 180-gram black vinyl with the last 2 being released on vinyl for the first time. All 8 albums feature original issue artwork replications and are housed in a rigid slipcase. You wont see many of this collectors item available; •Pretenders (1980) •Pretenders II (1981) •Learning To Crawl (1984) •Get Close (1986) •Packed! (1990) •Last Of The Independents (1994) •The Isle Of View (2LP) (1995) •Viva El Amor! (1999)
Comments: All vinyl is at least excellent and probably its really near mint. There is one mark on Get Close but you cant hear anything when played. Outer sleeves are in excellent condition, there are some seam splits to inners (varies between 4 to 7 cms ‘ish) but other than that the inners have very little wear (possibly a design weakness??). The slip-box is generally very good with some wear to the rear corners.. Vinyl labels are clean and legible. I have visually checked and also played the vinyl through to check, hence my comments. This is a great, clean example of a hard to find 180 gram, 9 vinyl box set which looks and plays nice. (Please see photos) No overseas bids or post thanks.
This is graded as follows; Vinyl; Excellent + Sleeve; VG to Excellent
I aim to be as honest as I can with descriptions of the items. Any questions feel free to contact me. Any problems after purchase please get in touch allowing me to resolve anything before leaving feedback. If you want more photo’s let me know. Vinyl and sleeve is graded as per the definitions below;
Mint (M) - The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.
Excellent (Ex) - The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
Very Good (Vg) - The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects is acceptable
Good (Gd) - The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc
