Description
Rare Earth Records RS 506 DJ VG/VG+ US original WHITE LABEL PROMO album. The Pretty Things began as a British R&B outfit in the mid-60's. But after several band changes they re-surfaced with SF Sorrow. It is the imaginary life of a character and is brilliantly written by vocalist Phil May and band mates. It was released in 1968, and SF Sorrow is generally accepted as the first rock n' roll concept album. Songs include, Private Sorrow, Balloon Burning, Baron Saturday and more!! It inspired many great songwriters to follow this idea, namely Pete Townshend writing the famous rock opera, Tommy!! The gatefold dome cover has general wear, but still a solid spine, small ink initials on back cover. The vinyl is very clean with some light paper scuffs. The WHITE PROMO LABELS are very clean!!!

Records are placed outside of the record cover in a clear plastic record sleeve. Albums are bubble wrapped for safety and mailed in a STRONG cardboard record mailer box.
