Description

The product is a prewar jazz 78 vinyl record by Billie Holiday, released on Commodore Records in 1939. It features the song "Strange Fruit" in English, pressed on a 10" shellac record with a speed of 78 RPM. This first edition, first pressing record is a valuable piece for jazz enthusiasts and collectors alike, showcasing the unique talent of Billie Holiday in the genre.

Record is in VG+ condition, only real issue is a laminate crack. Bought from a very reputable seller who guaranteed the quality of the product and listed it as VG+ in spite of the crack. I am unable to play test it so I cannot verify, so please be aware before you bid on this item. Regardless, it’s one of the most important recordings in American history and a first press nonetheless!
