Description
A 1st Issue of Purple Rain from 1984. Matrix A2/B2. The record comes housed in an original cover with sticker removal damage - the first copies had a purple sticker applied whilst in the charts. Also included is the lyric inner sleeve.
Vinyl (Ex+/NM) A truly wonderful slab of vinyl. Shiny like new and clearly only seen the lightest of use. Under close inspection we could barely make out a single mark. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity and not a hint of interference. Literally there is no background noise at all, barely a crackle the whole way through - and this must be unusual. Audio performance is breathtaking - the lush presentation really does justice to this PRINCE classic.
Cover (Ex-) In superb condition - shiny and unworn all areas. The only detrimental things to note are that the purple sticker has been removed on the front leaving a small grazed area and there are a couple of indentations from writing. Other than that this is one seriously well preserved cover. Shiny like new with only the very lightest handling wear. The spine is 100% intact and overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex+) Very fragile and prone to damage. This copy is in superb condition - practically faultless. No ageing, marks, or splits.
