Prince Lasha & Sonny Simmons Firebirds (Contemporary S7617) stereo second pressing
Lasha (as, fl, alto cl) and Simmons (as, eng h) with Bobby Hutcherson (vb); Buster Williams (b); and Charles Moffett (d).Recorded, in Los Angeles, in september 1967.
This Issue: On back cover: At bottom "Contemporary Records, Inc. 8481 Melrose Place, Los Angeles, California 90069".
Orange labels with track titles above LP title. "STEREO" left of center hole. Leaders' names below center hole with all personnel, with instruments that they play, below that.
Side 1 runout: [etched] LKS-281 D5 ?~ S Side 2 runout: [etched] LKS 282 D3 + SM + ?265
Condition of Record: VG++ to NM. No blemishes or stray marks on either side. Factory-made vinyl smears on both sides; a little spindle wear on side 2.
Album front cover very clean, artist photos and all text clear. Tiny ringwear at top; a bit more, with what look like two tiny white threads, at bottom. Back cover excellent, all text and photos near perfect. Spine very good, lettering clear, no bumps of corners. Album top corner, closed end, slight bend; album bottom corner, open end, tiny bend. Horizontal edge, top, very good, no shelfwear; horizontal edge, bottom, minor shelfwear.

Shipping: Ebay requires seller to indicate shipping methods and other particulars, then automatically inserts the cost at the top of the listing. Buyer will pay amount as determined by destination, by shipping method he chooses, and by required insurance (see: below); I don't gouge the price to make more profit. (USPS Media Mail is cheapest; I will provide prices for US Priority, or for FedEx or UPS ground, if requested.)
Insurance is mandatory on shipments to US addresses: The final price of the item determines the amount of insurance required. Please wait till I inform you of your total cost prior to submitting payment. It and not Ebay's stated cost is the amount to be paid.
**For winners outside US**: USPS shipping options are International Priority and International Express. Both methods include insurance but only Express provides a return receipt. (Check USPS's website for shipping prices.) If you want a private-company shipper, I will quote you the cost at end of auction. First-Class-Package service, which doesn't include insurance, is an option; the shipping cost will be lower, but if your item doesn't arrive you have no recourse. The risk is yours.
Packing: The LP will be carefully wrapped, then placed in a standard, cardboard LP box. Please indicate any special instructions.
Payment: I accept Paypal. I also accept cash in cases of in-person deliveries.
Returns: Returns will be accepted in cases of error in description.

N A record known to have never been played. A CD that has never been removed from its jewel case.
NM A record or CD known or assumed to have been played. LP may have a surface fingerprint smudge or other minor blemish; it may have slight spindle wear. CD might have been played, but it and its booklet, and its case (or box), show little if any wear. Otherwise, item appears same as N in all respects.
VG++ More handling marks than on NM but should play like new. VG+ Some wear may affect play or there may be a few minor blemishes.
VG More than a few blemishes; may have a scratch. If so, will be described in detail.
