Description
This is the impossible-to-find LONG MIX at 8:50,
which was ONLY released on 2 different,
but almost identical, U.K. 12" singles around 1980.
Of course, this is a major LOFT classic that
the late David Mancuso rocked almost
every night that he threw a party, and Larry Levan
also played this, as well as any DJ in the U.S.,
or around the world, played,
IF they could get their hands on a copy!
There are, of course, counterfeit,
un-licensed re-issues that Juno was distributing
many years ago, and various pirate pressings.
We VPI Machine-cleaned AND play graded
ALL of Sexy Dancer and it sounds great,
with very low-level surface noise that is
rarely obvious and never obtrusive.
If you want a copy that plays much quieter,
good luck finding an affordable un-played copy
out there! The highs are crisip, with TIGHT bass
and, especially, KILLER musicianship!
Vinyl is VISUALLY graded strong VG on
Side A (Sexy Dancer) and none of the light scuffs
or light marks can be felt,
and there are no loud pops or clicks.
Vinyl looks VG+ on side B. Side B was
played less by the previous owner,
so we did not check the sound.
The playing surface is very slightly "wavy"
but the edge is not warped and the record
tracks fine.
The A side label has faint wear,
some very minor small faint stains,
and 122 (The BPM) hand-written in pentel.
Comes in a plain U.S. style
black generic die-cut jacket.
"STRAWBERRY" is stamped in the dead-wax.
