Vinyl Audio Grade & Date of Playtest: Play Grade Excellent Minus (Supremely sharp and clear sound, very minimal audible crackle throughout the tracks, very minimal background noise in between tracks, no skips, no jumps, no sticking, no serious loud pops or clicks apart from a few light barely audible clicks per revolution at the start of track 4 on side 2 for 30 seconds or so and also a few at the back end of track 5 on side 2 for 10 seconds or so but once again these are light and barely audible. Excellent Minus sound quality (Playtested 10th April 2008)

Vinyl Visual Grade: Excellent Minus (there are only 2 or 3 handfuls of very light superficial hairline marks over both sides of the record, these do not affect playback in any way, there are 1 or 2 small more feelable light scratches on the record and these very slightly affect playback by causing some of the barely audible clicks per revolution as mentioned above, there may be some additional very light paper traces from the inner sleeve under bright light but generally the record is very clean and the surface is largely unmarked, looks to have been played only on occasion by looking at spindle marks and it has been looked after and cared for very well, labels are very clean with no rips/tears or pen marks to the label, there is some slight wear around the spindle holes, there is a nice clean sheen to the vinyl, overall a nice copy visually)

Album Cover Grade: Excellent (no major creasing to the front corners apart from a slight top right corner crease, no major creasing to the rear corners apart from a slight top right rear corner crease, no spine splits, a clearly legible spine, no top edge splits, no bottom edge splits, no rips or tears in the sleeve, no rubbing/wear to the spine, no wear rubbing/wear to the top or bottom edges, only slight corner rubbing, only very slight ringwear on the front and back, there is no pen marks/writing on the sleeve, there is no serious laminate lifting or peeling, the sleeve has no noticeable discolouration/staining and is clean, overall a very nice sleeve)

All records are graded in complete honesty and with the utmost scrutiny. All records listed have been playtested by me and will not jump, stick, or skip in any way. I have been collecting records now for approximately 12 years and have amassed quite a collection and have decided now is the time to reduce the collection in size. The quality of items listed generally varies but most of the time will be in Excellent condition or thereabouts. If it higher or lower than Excellent then it will be mentioned in full detail in the grading section above. Most of the records that will be listed will be from the 1950's, 1960's and early 1970s. The genre's will vary from prog rock, soul, reggae, rock n roll, beat, pop, psych. I will not be offering any classical records for sale though. I have some huge rarities in my collection and all will be up for sale at some point in the next year or so. MINT

The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT

The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD

The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD

The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR

The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR

The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD

The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
