Comments:  

RARE, original 1970  soundtrack album for the sci-fi film "Beneath the Planet of the Apes".  Composer Leonard Rosenman had some large shoes to fill in following Jerry Goldsmith, who scored the first "Ape" film. He decided to expand on the "otherworldly" orchestrations of Goldsmith's original composition, offering a wildly experimental soundtrack. 

For funk collectors and beat diggers there's the outstanding "March Of The Apes", along with an abundance of sound effects, dissonat orchestratral arrangements, "doomsday" choruses, and dialogue bits that are interspered throughout the LP.
