Description
The Jesus and Mary Chain: Psychocandy LP
This is not a modern reissue, I purchased this in the mid 1980s and it has been well looked after as part of my personal record collection ever since. In fact I barely played this one in favour of their other albums so the vinyl is in pristine near mint condition.
The sleeve is still in really nice condition for an LP nearly 40 years old, it has no seam splits and retains a sharp and fully readable spine. There is only very light handling and storage wear with a very light crease on the back. I’ve taken lots of photos of the sleeve and record so please take the time to scroll through them all to see the great condition of the record and any highlighted imperfections. Their are no seam splits to the original printed polylined inner sleeve, only some very faint age related marks that are barely noticeable. The inner looks a bit wrinkly in the pictures, but that’s because it’s polythene lined on the inside which has kept the vinyl static and scratch free over the years.
As I mentioned I didn’t play this one much back in the day as it wasn’t one of my favourites so the vinyl itself is still in lovely near mint condition. I have just cleaned it using a professional vacuum record cleaning machine with the award winning L’Art du Son cleaning fluid. It’s now dust and static free and in the best possible condition for the new owner to enjoy. I have just test played both sides all the way through and can confirm it sits perfectly flat on the deck and plays through beautifully on my set up (Project Debut Carbon deck fitted with an Ortefon 2M Blue stylus). Absolutely no skipping, sticking or jumping and barely a hint of surface noise. Plays through quiet and with superb mastering so the high levels of feedback and distortion that this record is famous for isn’t too shrill and unbearable.
I will post this out to the new owner packaged properly so that no damage can come to it during transit and fully insured with a signed for Royal Mail service.
