Original 3 Ep's U.K. pressing from 1979 on Virgin Records, catalog #Metal 1.

The vinyl of all three records looks super clean and glossy and play without surface noise. The metal box itself has light rusting all over (as they all do now!). There is an insert and a few xeroxed pages of lyrics that the previous owner made from the gatefold cover standard LP version. There's also writing on a few over the round paper inner sleeves, someone wrote the lyrics there as well.

Metal Box is an album by Public Image Ltd released in 1979 by Virgin Records. The title refers to the album's packaging, which consists of a metal 16mm film canister embossed with the band's logo and containing three 12" 45 rpm records.

The music is famous for its abstract, avant-garde nature, including a huge bass sound derived from dub music, for a unique, literally 'metallic' guitar sound (guitarist Keith Levene played aluminum-constructed guitars), and for its sonic high-fidelity due to the 12", 45rpm format.

In 2003, the album was ranked number 469 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.
