Description
Expansive Indie / Experimental Folk Rock: Pygmy Lush – Old Friends
For sale is a vinyl copy of Old Friends by Pygmy Lush, released in April 2011 on Lovitt Records (LOV 666). This LP is part of a limited US pressing of 500 copies on black vinyl (out of 600 total US copies), and includes the original download coupon for free MP3s of the entire album.
Old Friends captures Pygmy Lush at their most expansive and emotionally rich, blending folk rock, psychedelic rock, experimental, and indie rock into a warm, intimate, and often hypnotic listening experience. Recorded live at God City Studios in Salem, MA between October 13–16, 2010, and engineered by Kurt Ballou, the album has an organic, room-filling sound that perfectly suits its introspective songwriting and dynamic arrangements.
