Description

PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so. Thank you for your interest and support. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SHIPPING: USA ~ 1 LP $4.00 Media; 2-4 discs $5.00; .50 each additional disc Priority rates vary by area; please inquire. RARE 1973 QUADRAPHONIC ORIGINAL 4 CHANNEL

DIFFERENT SONG MIXES!!!

== MOUNTAIN ==

\ USA - WINDFALL - CQ 32079 (((QUADRAPHONIC)))

TOP COPY! STILL IN ORIGINAL FACTORY SHRINK WRAPPER and...MINT!

SCARCE 1973 "QUADRAPHONIC" with different song mixes from the 'regular' 1973 release...

The Quadraphonic issue uses a then, specially designed SQ decoder permiting the a 4 channel sound separation (as opposed to the regular 2 channel) when playback is through the quad system or even surround sound receiver, resulting in completely different song mixes that can be detected even on the 'normal' stereo system. The record company changed around the song mixes (sounding like things were added) to enhance the quadraphonic 4-channel listening experience....This recording was a limited release and now, going on 40 years later is highly sought after collectible with alternate song mixes ....

In retrospect, the very best work by the mighty MOUNTAIN, it's not too difficult to see why Mountain remained a power blues fan fave of the late 6o's to middle 7o's.

With the charm and incessant magisterial leads of Wishbone Ash, the killer riffs and heavy handed fluency of Cream, the speed fretwork and idealism of Lee's Ten Years After, the energetic brutality of prime Grand Funk Railroad and the exploratory manic genius of the The Jimi Hendrix Experience, this MOUNTAIN album sounds like a winning proposition. Any track you hit upon is a highlight, regardless of the band classics, 'Mississippi Queen' 'Nantucket Sleighride' and "Theme For An Imaginary Western" ... the smoking intense "Don't Look Around" will pin your ears against the wall in Quadrophonic 4 channel ...
