GATEFOLD SLEEVE CONDITION:..

The sleeve is very clean, having been stored since new within a plastic sleeve. Other than just one slight, knock at bottom of spine to right there are no other issues to be found with the sleeve, no writing or splitting. The artwork on the front of the sleeve is raised embossed, this is found only found on 1st press Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd sleeves. The inside folds open to reveal full lyrics and credits. Housed within the sleeve the 1st press inner sleeve with clipped corners and vinyl which has been stored for many years within an anti-static sleeve. The gatefold is almost the same appearance as when purchased new and I feel must grade easily as EXCELLENT ++

INNER SLEEVE:..

The 1st press inner sleeve has some creases to edges. The early inner sleeves like this were manufactured from thick card and so always added lines to a perfect new vinyl, unless care was taken or replacement sleeve was used from day one.

VINYL VISUAL CONDITION:..

The labels are both clean free of pen writing, spindle trace lines one or two at max and these are very faint. The surfaces are clean and groove channels are free of dust. One faint sleeve removal line is noted when viewing under a powerful lamp and not noticeable in general daylight and I expect has always been on the vinyl since it was first placed in the inner sleeve. I feel the vinyl grades easily EXCELLENT ++

AUDIO QUALITY:..

The vinyl audio throughout all tracks stunning, clean sound with clarity no distortion clicks or pops. Static during the intros is slight and to be expected from this media, but it's faint, short lived and is just on the first track run each side. The music is powerful and the vinyl delivers brilliant sound separation that only could be found on a 1st pressing. Stunning audio without anything else grades this vinyl's audio NEAR MINT

RECORD COLLECTORS GRADING SYSTEM

MINT The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and extra items are in perfect condition. Records advertised sealed or un-played should be mint.

EXCELLENT The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

VERY GOOD The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD the record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover suffers from folding scuffing
